Drew Harvell is a professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at Cornell University in New York. Her research on the health and sustainability of marine ecosystems has taken her from the reefs of Mexico, Indonesia, and Hawai‘i to the cold waters of the northwest Pacific and resulted in over 170 academic articles in journals such as Science, Nature, and Ecology. Her 2016 book, A Sea of Glass, won the National Outdoor Book Award and Honorable Mention Rachel Carson Award.
