Jessica Haapkylä is a marine biologist and freelance writer living near Helsinki, Finland. She holds a PhD in coral disease ecology from James Cook University in Australia. She writes about the marine environment, marine pollution, and climate change. She has written two books on climate change. Her news stories have appeared in Finnish newspapers and environmental journals as well as on the European Research Media website.
