Matt Koller is a freelance science writer and photographer currently based in Monterey, California. He’s worked as a naturalist in Southeast Alaska, a photographer in the mountains of Colorado, and crewed sailing boats in Hawai‘i—but feels most at home when he’s writing about the wonders of the ocean.
