Vanessa Gregory is a writer and an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Mississippi. Her work has appeared in Harper’s Magazine, the New York Times, and the American Prospect, among other places. She was a 2010 Middlebury College Fellow in Environmental Journalism and a 2016 Mississippi Arts Commission Fellow in Literary Nonfiction.
